The Mabote Police has embarked on a campaign to revive the Crime Prevention Committees under its supervision as they seem to have lost their drive for various reasons.

This was stated by Ha Mabote police commander Supt. Molefe Mafaufau who explained that lack of resources has always been the main reason why these committees have lost their drive.

Supt Mafaufau emphasized that Crime Prevention Committees need monitoring and support so that they can effectively prevent crime, also reminding the public that it is also their responsibility to support these committees so that they can execute their duties as expected

He said they met earlier this month to evaluate their Christmas holidays’ performance, where they realized a decrease in criminal activities in villages served by his the Police Station, compared to the previous years.
