LNDC Discusses Investor Safety.

Lesotho National Development Corporation-LNDC held a one-day meeting to discuss investor safety in the country.

Speaking to PCFM earlier today, the Director of Investment and Sales, Ms. Pusetso Makhakhe said, the meeting aimed to gather investors’ views on their security and safety in Lesotho.

Makhakhe said that, a lack of security for traders, hampers economic growth, leading to job losses for many Basotho. She stressed that, crime deters investors; ultimately harming the economy.

Police Spokesperson Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli described the meeting as highly beneficial noting that; gun-related crimes against investors have decreased due to increased police patrols in business areas.

Additionally, it was noted that Lesotho like other countries, is actively working to combat gun crime, by destroying illegal firearms.

On behalf of investors, Ms. Lerato Motanya expressed confidence in LNDC and the police; commending the initiative and reaffirming investors’ trust in efforts to combat crime in the country.
