Berea’s Urban Council Town Clerk Mr. Mpho Lesia has confirmed that the construction of the Teyateyaneng Road will soon commence, and that joint preparations between the Council and the Chinese contractor have begun

The reconstruction of Teyateyaneng Urban roads is scheduled to 2 years, ending in November 2027

Mr. Lesia said, the preliminary works include public campaigns, to raise awareness about ways in which the project will affect their communities and more expectations about the overall project

He said, plans to ensure good relations with the communities hence such campaigns. He then urged the Berea community to collaborate with the Council in this project period

Meanwhile, the contractor has reportedly begun setting up an employee’s camp at Ha-Ramachini, construction of offices, laboratories and the crusher plant
