Road Fund’s CEO Mats’hepang Sekhokoane stated that, the system is designed to improve coordination and workflow among institutions that handle traffic offenses related to violations of Lesotho’s road traffic laws.

Sekhokoane said, the system, including its supporting equipment, cost the Road Fund approximately 25 million Maloti. She explained that, it expands on the existing eSpot fine system, which was previously used only by the Lesotho Mounted Police Service. The new platform represents a major shift from the traditional, manual handling of traffic cases to a more integrated and automated approach.

The Commissioner of Police Borotho Matsoso thanked the Road Fund, stressing the importance of continued collaboration. He added that, the new system will significantly ease the workload for the police.
