The interim Prime Minister, Deputy PrimeMinister Justice Nthomeng Majara has handed over 9 vehicles and 3000 blankets to the Lesotho Correctional Services_LCS at Maseru Central Correctional Institution

Justice Majara said, the vehicles, valued at over M2 million, and blankets, costing M900,000, are intended to enhance mobility and preserve the health and dignity of inmates

The vehicles will facilitate movement of inmates to health services, courts, and other facilities, supporting rehabilitation and societal protection

On the other hand, The Minister of Law and Justice, Richard Ramoeletsi said the hand over emphasized the investment in LCS as crucial for strengthening the rule of law and protecting society

On behalf of LCS, the Acting LCS Commissioner, Matingoe Phamotse, welcomed the resources, citing their impact on addressing emergencies and easing operations in hard-to-reach areas
