The Minister of Information, Communications, Science and Technology, Honorable Nthati Moorosi, hosted a luncheon for the elderly of the Thetsane constituency and surrounding areas at her home last Saturday

In addition to the meal, Ms. Moorosi distributed gifts, including clothing and toiletries, to ensure the senior citizens could enjoy the festive season. She emphasized that, the gesture was a token of her ongoing care and appreciation for the elders in her constituency.

During the event, the Minister encouraged the attendees to voice their concerns and developmental needs. In response, the elderly highlighted several challenges including the lack of street lighting in their villages and poor service delivery at passport offices, where they claimed to be subjected to unauthorized extra fees. They also requested support for poultry projects to help them achieve self-sufficiency.

Ms. Moorosi welcomed the feedback and committed to addressing some of these issues as early as this week. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude noting that, the Minister’s personal attention to their welfare, was a significant and meaningful gesture.
